Overview

Right AlignWhat is Project WET? Project WET (Water Education for Teachers) is an international, interdisciplinary, water education program for formal and non-formal educators of students 5 to 18.

Project WET believes that water of sufficient quality and quantity is important for all water users (energy producers, farmers and ranchers, fish and wildlife, manufacturers, recreationist, rural and urban dwellers) and sustainable water management is crucial for providing tomorrows children with social and economic stability in a healthy environment.

Project WET Curriculum and Activity Guide
The centerpiece of the Project WET program is the Project WET Curriculum and Activity Guide. This collection of over ninety, broad-based water resource activities was developed, field-tested, and reviewed by over 600 educators and resource managers working with 34,000 students in the United States. The Guide has been praised in education publications and has been characterized as "comprehensive and thorough background information for teachers" with activities that are "flexible and well designed...relevant and meaningful."

The Project WET Curriculum and Activity guide is only available to educators and others who attend training workshops provided by Project WET facilitators. These workshops are available either for free or for a nominal fee. Click here to find a Project WET Coordinator in your area.

A wide range of contemporary water resource publications support the Project WET Curriculum and Activity Guide. These resources focus on high priority topics such as wetlands, water conservation and water quality testing. Please click here to view our full catalogue of publications.

Project WET and CEAE
The Center for Environmental Education and Awareness (CEAE) was envisioned to respond to needs of our times, and our environment. It is at the helm of two of the most widely used and successfully implemented environmental education programs available in the Philippines. It offers training on these programs to educators both inside and outside the academe. It has dedicated itself to constant networking and partnership with those who share the same vision of teaching through environmental concepts.
